Now we’re in December we’re officially allowed to start celebrating Christmas!
Armed with some traditional inspiration we had a very rainy visit to Hobbycraft & Homebase last week and we are officially all set for the festive season. Originally, we wanted a tree in our top window but sadly, it didn’t have the desired impact, so we decided to go for simple but effective light up stars instead. Don’t worry though, we do still have a tree downstairs. You can’t have Christmas without a Christmas tree! We also added the final finishing touch with the ultimate Christmas wreath for the front door which was specially made by the lovely Bridget at Knutsford Bloom.
Speaking of it being the season, it would appear the last leaves have finally fallen which meant a big driveway clear up for me & my partner, Matthew on Sunday. As much as I love the beautiful trees that surround us, at this time of year they have become the bane of my life as I obsessively clear them away each Sunday only for them to have returned by Monday! Here’s hoping that one full green bin and 4 heavy bin bags of leaves emptied at the tip will be the last of clearing the leaves… well at least until next year.
I guess it’s a good job we never mind clearing the leaves and I still had time to pop home and put up my own tree followed by enjoying a glass of mulled wine and a festive mince pie whilst I put together the rest of our social media giveaway posts.
We are already a quarter of the way through our 12 days of Christmas social media giveaway but there are still some great prizes to come. We have kindly had prizes donated by local businesses in the area. Being a Knutsford resident myself, I have always felt that it is such a close-knit community. The response we have had for donations of prizes has further demonstrated this. Don’t miss out and head to our social media pages to find out how YOU could be in with a chance of winning one of our fantastic prizes. Thank you to everyone who has been able to make this happen.
We hope you all enjoy the giveaway and good luck to everyone that enters! Rachel 😊
